Struthious

Posted on: July 9, 2010

struthious
\STROO-thee-us\ | adjective

1 : of or relating to the ostriches and related birds

The ostrich genus is Struthio and its binomial name is Struthio camelus so struthious seems like a logical word. I can be quite struthious at times, sticking my head in the sand, although I understand that’s actually an ostrich myth.
