Repudiate

repudiate
\rih-PYOO-dee-ayt\ | verb

1 : to refuse to have anything to do with : disown
2 : to refuse to acknowledge, accept, or pay

I’m rushing this morning so will have more to say tonight. There’s a very interesting article at Foreign Policy in Focus about it being time to repudiate the Carter Doctrine (and how I hate that his name is attached to this) and I’m sure I’ll want to rant a little about that.

In the meantime, here’s something we should also repudiate: spider resurrection. Just to quote the first line: ” Like zombies, spiders in a lab twitched back to life hours after ‘drowning’.” That is so totally wrong it’s not funny. I may not go out of my way to kill spiders but once they’re dead they need to stay dead. Full stop.
