nimiety
\nih-MYE-uh-tee\ | noun

1 : excess, redundancy

The first link, strangely enough, is the member profile page for someone who’s chosen nimiety as their username on FederalSoup.com. And the other weird thing is they just set up their profile on June 2. An interesting coincidence.

The first image is a little picture that’s used to help define synonyms for “in excess,” nimiety being one.

I have to admit I don’t fully understand the picture. Maybe it’s a piggy bank that’s being stuffed to capacity. But it looks like it’s sitting on a stack of pancakes but I guess they’re supposed to be coins. I don’t know and it doesn’t really matter.

I like this word. It’s one I’ve never heard before, but I’m definitely going to have to start using it. Yes, definitely a good one.

I always try and guess how to pronounce the words before looking at the guide and I didn’t come anywhere close with this one. It is a good word.
