The Poser (attitudinize essay)

Posted on: May 13, 2008

He’s not qualified for his job. The bluster and the schmooze can’t cover up the fact that he doesn’t know what he’s doing. Every day we sit and wait for the inevitable: for the man to be found out, for his incompetence to be discovered. But every day, one bungle after another, one huge delay after another, and the people who have the power to send him packing do nothing.

It makes you wonder why you worry and fret about falling behind on a project, about doing a good job, about trying at all really, when someone like this can bluff his way into a job with no skills or knowledge and manage to stick around and make the rest of our lives a living hell. The only consolation is hoping he spends every day of his life worried that today’s the day when the lies fail him and he gets kicked out on his ear.

So, writing about W are you?

This is weird. All the posts from this one on forward haven’t shown up when I’ve clicked on your link in my Google Reader until today. Suddenly, after weeks of no posts from you (or what seemed to be no posts), I suddenly get 17 all at once! How strange is that?

That’s cause I just put them in between yesterday and and the day before. I date my posts to keep them in order.

And no, I’m not talking about Bush. I’m talking about our director of marketing. I’d say his name here but with all my luck someone would search for his all too common name and find this and then his hoity toity family would probably sue me. :-)
