iconoclast
\eye-KAH-nuh-klast\ | noun

1 : a person who destroys religious images or opposes their veneration
2 : a person who attacks settled beliefs or institutions

The minute I saw this word I thought of the TV program on Sundance. And then when I read the definition I becamse a bit confused as to why they used it as the name. Then I realized that probably not attacking, but that all the people they feature question and push the boundaries of standard thinking in their respective fields (or are supposed to; Mikhail Baryshnikov – yes, in every way; Alicia Keyes – not so much).

Now that’s some contrast. Classy, intellectual, artistic program from Sundance; dark and scary album art from some band. I’ll stick with Sundance.
