With the Passing of Time

spirit card soul (kindred poem)

Posted on: May 4, 2008

A kindred spirit
he shared my path

A spirit guide
he lit my way

A guidepost
he directed my steps

A post hole
he held me up

A hole card
he had my back

A card stock
he displayed my thoughts

A stock boy
he shelved my fears

A boy interrupted
he bent my mind

An interrupted soul
he held my hand

A soul mate
he loved me most

Wow! I had no idea you were writing poetry these days, too. Nice. I like the combination of ‘interrupted soul/held my hand’ … and of course the last lines are beautiful.

You saw my melange post. I don’t know if I’d officially call either poetry but they’re not drabbles or fiction so there you go.
